The name comes from the heartwood — the densest part, the one that remains when everything else is gone.
CERNE·STUDIO was born from eleven years of digital work. From building stores that convert, platforms that scale, brands that function. And from understanding, over time, that conversion without identity is fragile. That what makes a brand last is not its Google performance — it’s its narrative.
In 2025 we made the leap. From marketing to identity. From conversion to visual narrative. We are still the same three — Jordi, Santi and John — with the same rigour as always, now applied to what we always wanted to do.
We work with brands that have something to say. And we help them say it in a way that needs no explanation.
What guides us
Narrative
Before designing a line, we find the story. Every brand has a reason for being that goes beyond the product. Our work is to find it, articulate it and give it visual form.
Craft
Eleven years building in digital have taught us that detail is not optional. The difference between good and extraordinary lives in the millimetres no one looks at but everyone feels.
Permanence
We design for brands to outlast trends. Every decision is made thinking ten years ahead, not ten months. Conversion is immediate; identity is permanent.
Human scale
We are three by design. Every project has the attention of all three people who make up the studio. No account managers, no delegation, no distance between who decides and who executes.
How we got here
Inbound Emotion
Jordi and Santi meet and found Inbound Emotion. A digital marketing, design and web development agency focused on conversion. The conviction from day one: that design without strategy is decoration.
John joins
John Hidalgo’s arrival opens a new dimension. High-complexity web applications, integrations and migrations that were previously out of reach. Code becomes part of the creative process.
